The short version: we collect your email address and, if you vote, the university you picked. We use it to tell you when we launch and to decide which feeders to build. We don’t sell it. You can leave the list at any time.
This policy explains what ScoreFeeders — operated by Avian Sciences, LLC of Marlborough, Massachusetts — does with personal information collected through this website.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address. Collected when you join the launch list or cast a vote. This is the only piece of information we require.
- Name. Optional. If a form asks for it, you can leave it blank and still submit.
- Your university vote. The university you select in the fan vote, recorded alongside your email address so we can count one vote per person and tell you if your pick makes the ScoreFeeders™ SeedBowl.
- Anything you send us directly. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Campaign and referral data. When you arrive from an advertisement or a link we shared, the link may carry campaign tags (commonly called UTM parameters) identifying which ad or post you came from. We record these with your signup so we know which campaigns work.
- Date and time of your submission.
- Standard technical data. Our hosting provider logs IP addresses, browser type and pages requested as part of running and securing the site.
- Analytics and advertising measurement. If we run analytics or advertising measurement tools on this site, they may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to count visits and measure ad performance. See section 5.
2. How we use it
- To email you when we launch, and to send occasional updates about the product as it is built.
- To count votes in the fan vote and decide which two university designs (the ScoreFeeders™ SeedBowl) to pursue first.
- To measure which advertisements and campaigns bring people to the site.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
3. The fan vote
Voting is open to anyone. We record the university you select together with your email address so that we can count one vote per person, prevent duplicate submissions, and let you know if the university you picked is chosen.
Vote results may be published in aggregate — for example, a leaderboard or a total count per university. We do not publish individual votes or identify individual voters.
Fan voting helps guide future licensing priorities. Voting does not indicate an existing university license or affiliation.
4. Marketing communications
If you join the launch list or cast a vote, you are asking us to email you about our launch and the product. We send:
- A confirmation that we received your signup or vote.
- Notice of our launch date and when ScoreFeeders go on sale.
- Occasional build and product updates.
We do not send advertising for other companies, and we do not rent, sell or trade your email address.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from all marketing emails. You can also email info@scorefeeders.com and ask to be removed, and we will handle it.
5. Third-party services
We use outside service providers to run this site and to manage our email list. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. They fall into these categories:
- Web hosting. Serves this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Email marketing platform. Stores the launch list and sends our emails. Your address and your university selection are stored there.
- Analytics. Measures how many people visit the site and which pages they view.
- Advertising platforms. If we advertise on social or search platforms, those platforms may receive measurement signals indicating that a visit or signup occurred, so we can judge whether an advertisement worked.
- Fonts and content delivery. Typefaces on this site are served by a third-party font provider, which receives your IP address as part of delivering them.
Payments, including the $1 reservation, are handled by Stripe’s secure checkout under Stripe’s privacy policy and terms. We never see or store your payment card or bank details.
We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect our rights, safety or property. If Avian Sciences, LLC is sold or merges with another business, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
6. Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe. Use the link in any email, or write to us.
- Access. Ask us what information we hold about you and we will tell you.
- Correction. Ask us to fix anything that is wrong.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your information and we will, except where we are required to keep it. Deleting your record also removes your vote from the count.
- Cookies. Your browser can block or delete cookies. The site works without them; some measurement will simply stop.
Depending on where you live — for example, California, other US states with privacy statutes, or the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — you may have additional rights, including the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We extend the choices above to everyone regardless of location.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used under California law.

7. How long we keep it
We keep your email address and vote until you ask us to remove them, or until the launch list is no longer in use. Server and analytics logs are kept for a limited period as part of normal operations.
8. Security
We use reputable service providers and take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be announced by email to the launch list.
